Worked with team of web producers, designers, and account executives at interactive advertising agency. Followed creative briefs and detailed technical specifications to create online brand advertising for national retail products. Focusing on the promotion of top consumer packaged goods, using Photoshop, HTML, and other web tools, created bold graphics, hotlinks, PDF downloads, samples, event locators, Flash demos, articles, and recipes. Conducted user research and usability testing for future initiatives.

Web Designer/Systems Engineer 1999–2006
Verizon IT Tampa, FL

As the webmaster for Verizon.com/IT, duties included developing, enhancing, and maintaining corporate marketing website. Monitored site metrics with traffic-analysis tools. Increased the number of monthly site visitors by more than 280 percent (January 2002 to January 2003) by applying SEO (search engine optimization) techniques and implementing mass e-mail marketing campaign.

Rebuilt entire site according to corporate style guide with hand-coded HTML and Dreamweaver. Focused on usability and navigation, as well as graphic and aesthetic appeal. Created online “My Account” customer portal for client’s invoices and reports.
